When is the MPPSC SSE 2026 Mains?
7 to 12 September 2026. Mains admit cards were released on 1 September 2026 on the MP Online portal. The Prelims was held on 26 April 2026 and its result came on 22 May 2026.
How many vacancies are there in MPPSC SSE 2026?
155 posts as per the advertisement of 31 December 2025 — including Deputy Collector (17), DSP (18), CEO Janpad Panchayat (15), Development Block Women Empowerment Officer (39) and Commercial Tax Officer (3). The Commission may add posts later.
What changed in the MPPSC Prelims pattern in 2026?
Each question is now worth 3 marks (100 questions = 300 marks per paper) and negative marking of 1 mark per wrong answer was introduced. Paper II (CSAT) remains qualifying (40% for unreserved, 30% for reserved); only Paper I decides the Mains shortlist.
Is there negative marking in MPPSC Prelims?
Yes, from SSE 2026: 1 mark is deducted for every wrong answer (one-third of the 3 marks per question). Unanswered questions carry no penalty.
What is the MPPSC Mains pattern?
Six descriptive papers of 3 hours each: General Studies I–IV (300 marks each), Hindi language (200) and Hindi essay & drafting (200) — 1,500 marks in total. The interview carries 185 marks, so the final merit is out of 1,685.
What is the age limit for MPPSC SSE 2026?
21 to 40 years as on 1 January 2026 for non-uniformed posts and 21 to 33 for uniformed posts such as DSP. MP-domicile SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD candidates and women get relaxation up to 45 years for non-uniformed posts.
